Dr. Suresh Prasad, MD, FACP, is a highly respected physician who has devoted over 25 years to serving the Permian Basin community with remarkable dedication. His career is a testament to his unwavering commitment to both patient care and medical progress, earning him widespread recognition and numerous accolades. Dr. Prasad earned his medical degree from Patna Medical College and Hospital in India, where he was awarded the Shifton Gold Medal for outstanding performance in General Medicine. His quest for excellence brought him to the United States, where he completed his internship at the Edgewater Medical Center Residency Program in Chicago, IL, and his residency in Internal Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Odessa, TX. Beginning his practice in Internal Medicine in Monahans, TX, in 1999, Dr. Prasad has made significant contributions to the field. In 2004, he established Permian Internal Medicine Associates in Odessa, where he currently serves as the Medical Director. He holds ABIM Board certifications in Internal Medicine and Sleep Medicine, as well as ABOM Board Certification in Obesity Medicine. His expertise encompasses diabetes management, hypertension, and obesity. Dr. Prasad also partners with Odessa Sleep Associates, the sole sleep lab in Odessa, further demonstrating his dedication to enhancing patient care. Dr. Prasad’s exceptional service has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Vital Choice recognition, the On-Time Doctor Award, Compassionate Doctor Recognition, and the Patients’ Choice Award. He received the TTUHSC School of Medicine Distinguished Alumni Award for Community Outreach in 2010 and the Community Statesman Heritage Foundation Award in Health and Science in 2012. In 2010, he was honored with Fellowship by the American College of Physicians (FACP). A member of several esteemed medical organizations, Dr. Prasad is affiliated with the American College of Physicians (ACP), Texas Medical Association (TMA), Ector County Medical Society (ECMS), American Society of Sleep Medicine (ASSM), and the Obesity Society (TOS). He has been consistently recognized as the best physician in Weight Loss and Sleep categories, as well as one of the best physicians overall, by the Reader’s Choice survey conducted by Odessa American. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Prasad enjoys a rich personal life with his wife of over 30 years, Dr. Kalpana Prasad, their two children, and a granddaughter. His passions for traveling and reading highlight his vibrant personality, while his commitment to volunteering underscores his dedication to giving back to the community. Dr. Kalpana Prasad, MD, FACP, known affectionately as Dr. K by her patients, has been a cornerstone of compassionate care and medical excellence in the Permian Basin for nearly 25 years. Dr. Prasad’s medical journey began in India, where she cultivated her passion for healing at Patna Medical College and Hospital. After completing her Internal Medicine Residency at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Odessa, TX, she began her practice in Monahans, TX, in 2002. In 2005, she joined Permian Internal Medicine Associates, where her commitment to patient care and medical innovation has flourished. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Prasad co-founded the Permian Research Foundation, reflecting her dedication to advancing medical knowledge. She holds ABIM Board certifications and recertifications in Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Her exceptional contributions were recognized with the prestigious Community Statesman “Heritage Foundation Award” in 2023. Dr. Prasad’s dedication to patient-centered care has garnered her several accolades, including the Patients’ Choice Award and the Compassionate Doctor Recognition. Dr.Grace Andrade

Grace was born and raised in Odessa, TX. She moved to Temple, Texas after high school and received her Certificate of Surgical Technology from Temple College. At Temple College she was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. She was elected president of the Surgical Technology club and was the elected graduation speaker. She completed her surgical training at Baylor Scott and White hospital. She returned home to work at Medical Center Hospital for 11 years in the main operating room. She assisted on elective and trauma surgeries. At the same time, she was active in the community and participated in Relay for Life, March of Dimes, Toys for Tots and the Women’s Crisis Center of Odessa. She also was a member of the Mercy Trips Healthcare Outreach Medical Team and traveled to Uganda, Africa twice to assist on pro bono surgeries. While working and taking trauma call at MCH, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. At UTPB she was elected to the Student Senate and she was placed on the dean’s list for her academic achievements. With a desire to have more of a greater impact in providing patient care she applied and was accepted into the Texas Tech Physician Assistant program. She graduated with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. In the PA program her and her classmates campaigned for AIDS, autism and breast cancer awareness. She is certified by the NCCPA and licensed by the Texas Medical Board. Grace and her husband Luis Andrade, along with their daughters Laurel & Isabella are members of the church of Christ. Grace is driven by the bonds she builds with patients over the course of their lives and the enjoyment she holds in keeping them healthy and well.

Roxana Nieto, MPAS, PA-C was born and raised in Midland, TX. She attended Lee High School where she was a part of the Dixie Doll Drill Team. She also volunteered at Medical Center Hospital for several years learning multiple aspects of the medical field and further solidifying her interest in health care. She attended the University of Texas at San Antonio where she graduated Cum Laudewith a Bachelors of Science in Public Health and a minor in Sociology. As a student she interned at the Institute for Health Disparities conducting Hep C and HIV testing as well as educating students on the prevention of risky behavior. Additionally, she was a member of Phi Sigma Pi Honors Fraternity and held multiple officer positions. After graduating she joined the prevention team at the Crisis Center of West Texas where she brought awareness to domestic violence and sexual assault. Miss Nieto also volunteered at various local entities including SHARE and Children’s Rehab.It has been Roxana’s lifelong goal to serve the community as a health care professional therefore she pursued her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at the Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Midland, TX. While pursuing her career she was elected student liaison for the Permian Basin Physician Assistant Society. She graduated with her Masters degree in August 2020. She is very excited to bring quality care to the people of the Permian Basin. On her leisure time she enjoys working out, baking, and spending time with her dog Sully.

Danielle Avila Gilpin, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, was born and raised in Pecos, TX. She attended Pecos High School where she was very active by playing volleyball, basketball, running track, was member of the Mighty Eagle Band, the student council, Latin Club, and National Honor Society. She moved to Midland with her family where she knew she wanted to begin working towards her degree in nursing. She attended Midland College where she obtained her License in Vocational Nursing in 2006, and worked as a licensed vocational nurse until she received her Associate’s Degree in Nursing in 2007. She worked as a registered nurse for 12 years, where she worked in family medicine, pediatrics, home health, school health, med-surg, ER, ICU, and inpatient rehabilitation. As her children grew older, she decided to return to school and went back to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree through the University of Texas in Arlington, graduating Magna Cum Laude, on the Distinguished Dean’s List and a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society. She went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner through the University of Texas in Arlington, totaling almost 20 years of medical experience. When she is not working, she enjoys attending her kids sporting events, going to church, traveling, and spending quality time with her family.
